Why Have a Walk?
17 years of Walking the Walk
Voting with your Feet means Walking the Walk in our 17th Annual Walk! Abortions have fallen significantly nationally, but over 80,000 babies lost their lives to abortion in Texas in 2006. This year's Campaign for Life will enable us to continue making great strides in the fight to protect moms and babies. Teen births and pregnancies remain at levels not seen since the 1940's, thanks, in part, to our work. With your help we can do so much more to protect women and children from abortion.
When you Walk the Walk, you are partnering with Texans for Life by:
- Taking aim at the heart of abortion when we reach teenagers (over 2,000 every year) with our free message of abstinence - before abortion even becomes an issue in their lives
- Changing hearts and minds through rallies, speeches, workshops, newsletters, the Internet, literature distribution and by alerting Christians, churches, pastors and grass-roots activists - teaching, informing, motivating and enabling them to protect precious human life
- Advocating for laws that protect human life, from conception to death, and laws that promote abstinence until marriage
- Counseling and referring hundreds of women in crisis to pregnancy help centers throughout North Texas
- Sharing your resources (a portion of Walk proceeds) with pregnancy assistance centers and other pro-life ministries.
